Frigol SA’s policy is the continuous improvement of its processes and products, meeting the needs of its customers and stakeholders with the generation of authentic products, following legal requirements, quality standards and food safety, through the training of its employees. , partners and suppliers.

We have our fresh beef and pork plants certified under the HACCP program and our fresh beef plants under the BRCGS FOOD global food safety and quality standard, and the units are audited by an independent Certifying Body.

Our quality management system is safe and effective, as evidenced by last year’s results, in which the Company maintained all of its export licenses to different countries, maintaining a presence in more than 60 countries around the world. We also did not record product recalls at any of the plants.
We use several controls to ensure the quality and safety of the food we produce, including:

GMP Program

Good Manufacturing Practices is a set of standards adopted in order to guarantee a production with sanitary quality and the conformity of the products produced with the technical regulations.

SSOP Program

Standard Operating Hygiene Procedures are rules and procedures developed, implemented and monitored, which ensure the hygiene of facilities, equipment and utensils before, during and after meat processing.

MIP

Integrated Pest Management: it is the system that incorporates constant preventive and corrective actions to prevent the existence of pests in the factory as a whole, with the application of mechanisms and controls in the external and internal areas.

PSO Program

Operational Sanitary Procedures are procedures implemented to carry out industry operations in the areas of food handling, ensuring compliance with all the necessary care to obtain the highest quality products.

Maintenance Program

Industrial Maintenance: is the preventive maintenance program for equipment and facilities that aims to keep the equipment in full operation and without risk to the products produced.

Product Laboratory Analysis Program

Microbiological and physical-chemical analyzes of our products are carried out in outsourced laboratories in the various stages of production, in addition to the equipment, as a way of verifying the efficiency of our production and hygiene procedures, in order to guarantee high quality and food safety, in front of our customers.

HACCP/HACCP Program

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points is a tool that identifies and controls chemical, physical and microbiological hazards that can put the consumer’s health at risk (applies to all production lines).

Traceability Program

is a tool used to control processes and products, through which the company has total control of production from the property to the shipment to several markets.

It is a tool that, together with the Traceability Program, allows the company to track and collect any product that it deems necessary, due to any detected process failure, thus guaranteeing total safety for customers in relation to our products.

Training Program

All Frigol employees undergo periodic training, with the aim of improving knowledge and improving performance in their daily production operations, in order to guarantee the correct execution of the manufacturing procedures of our products in a safe way and guaranteeing quality. .

Food Defense Program

It assesses possible vulnerabilities of the production process against intentional contamination and protects, through specific procedures, the generation of products free from physical, chemical, microbiological and allergenic hazards.

Food Fraud Program

Evaluates possible opportunities for tampering with economic purpose from our suppliers, as well as from our own production process. It protects, through specific procedures, the generation of authentic products that do not jeopardize the health of our consumers.

Supplier Management Program

Evaluates the approval of new suppliers, determines the degree of criticality of the different types of suppliers and their respective items, determining a specific evaluation (Certification in a Standard recognized by the GFSI or In Loco Audit or a Self-Assessment Questionnaire). The result of this evaluation makes the supply of inputs to Frigol suitable.

Frigol Animal Welfare – BEA

Our objective when developing the Humane Slaughter and Animal Welfare program is to establish significant rules for the protection of animals during the pre-slaughter and slaughter stages, minimizing any type of suffering to animals, having better technical conditions, best practices of authorized methods. , in addition to ensuring better quality and safety of the final product.

FRIGOL ANIMAL WELFARE POLICY

• Practice respect for all animals, avoiding unnecessary suffering with those destined for slaughter in our company;
• Constantly promote procedures for the welfare of the animals received, respecting legislation, and producing quality products for our customers;

• Assist in animal management practices on the properties, in the search for the best animals.

We have national legislation as parameters, but in view of our qualifications we follow protocols such as the CEEE1099 regulation of the European Union, the North American Meat Institute Protocol (NAMI).

Our teams (employees, drivers and leaders) are trained in the different stages of the process as a way of disseminating the culture and good practices of animal welfare management.

Our units have a specific employee to assess the requirements of the company’s humane slaughter program, who monitors and takes actions to ensure all procedures in the chain.

We formed the Animal Welfare Committee together with the leaders of the units, aiming at actions to guarantee the animal welfare policy and obtain results aimed at the continuous improvement of the sector and processes.

We work daily in the search for improvements in the animal welfare sector, together with rural producers, origination, leaders and collaborators because ANY INTENTIONAL ACT OF ABUSE IS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE COMPANY, reinforcing that the animal we take to slaughter is the food on the table. many families, including ours.
